SAFER PA provides the following opportunities for participants:

• Input on research topics, organization leadership, and direction with eligibility to serve on the Board of Directors and have a role on working committees

• Access to research opportunities, updates, workshops and reports plus participation in annual membership meeting and conferences

• Technical assistance and collaboration with other member organizations

• Leverage investments and technological capabilities from multiple sources to achieve greater impact

• Identify regional shale challenges and generate solutions in a coordinated program

• Generate independent science that addresses environmental and sustainability concerns

• Illustrate leadership on actions that benefit all stakeholders in the Commonwealth
